Take That revealed his big music in academic debate

Take That band revealed his big music again along Robbie Williams by scholars in a new academic debate.

A new two-day conference will be run by Tim Wise at the University of Salford and it will be called 'Making Things Whole Again: The Take That Reunion'.

A notice for staff and students speech: 'The long-anticipated reunion of Take That and Robbie Williams, and the unprecedented sales figures for their summer tour 2011, offer an excellent opportunity for scholars from a range of academic disciplines to discuss key issues arising from this contemporary popular music phenomenon. The break-up of a favoured band has had profound implications for fans, followers, and the music industry.

Also read, 'The convenors invite papers from any discipline which address the themes of break-up and reunion of popular music acts. We are particularly interested in papers addressing these issues in relation to Take That and boy bands generally.'

Take That: Collect a prize at Q Awards


Yesterday Robbie williams and Take That companions were collected a Q awards, it was a good day to Robbie Willams to return.

Williams said he was "very happy to be back, its my first day and I'll won an award", I'd like to thank my boys. Extremely glad here. Looking forward to the next few years."

Take That's prize marks the start of a whirl of activity as they make their comeback with a single The Flood and new album Progress both due release next month. The band are due to hold a press conference at the Savoy hotel in London tomorrow.

Florence and the Machine who collected two prizes are the best female and best track for You've Got the Love.

Kasabian were best named act in the world, beating Muse, Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon, who are recently No 1 in the album chart.
