Robbie Williams to replace Simon Cowell on The X Factor

Take That star Robbie Williams who has come on the show a number of times as a performer,could be the judging panel's new 'top dog' if Cowell decides to take a back seat to focus on the US version of the show.

Because of the star cheeky sense of humour and outspokenness,Robbie seems to be perfect replacement for the music mogul.

An insider told The Daily Star: 'Robbie is a huge name so would naturally be a massive ratings hit. Not only that, he is also straight-talking and comical.

'We all understand that right now America is where Simon's focus has to be. There aren't many people that can fill his shoes, but Robbie just might be able to do it.'

Gary Barlow for a role on the judging panel is another name considering by TV bosses, which could bring up some old rivalries between the two singers.

Speaking to The Sun after the National Television Awards last week, Cowell said that none of last year's judging panel have been given new contracts yet.

'I think there are going to be a few surprises. I genuinely do. I don't think there's one set way of doing it. I am currently in conversations with ITV and Fox,' he added.

Take That Tour Is Still On Says Robbie Williams

Despite recent speculation Robbie Williams has confirmed that Take That's tour is still on.

Because of Gary Barlow's 40th birthday celebrations in London,singer was absent from his bandmates.

''I'm really looking forward to seeing you, I miss you,'' Williams said in a video message to Barlow.

He added: ''And just want to put your mind at ease about the tour - I know you're worried about my mental health. Well, I'm on meds, everything is fine, everything will be really cool. Love you loads.''

He said: "The kids keep us pretty busy, although in about a week's time, we're going off on holiday, me and the wife with no kids, for the first time in about 11 years. I'm making a list of things we can talk about!

"I'm really looking forward to it, I'm taking my keyboard with me, and my laptop. No I'm not really."

In Wembley Stadium the Take That band has also been want to reschedule on July 3rd. This show now take place on June 30th.

The band said, "We are really sorry to have to move the dates in London but we'd heard that there was a lot of disappointment from those not being able get tickets and this was the only way that we could fit in another show."
